Pica Nuttalli

Last term I created a identity system, labels, and packaging for a company called Pica Nuttalli for design studio 3 class. The company was of course made up and the labels were never printed on a press but I had the opportunity to create something I was proud of.I spent all term working on this project and in the end was very happy with the result. Pica Nuttalli is the scientific name of the Yellow Billed Magpie, a bird that only lives in the foothills of California’s wine country. During the project I created a back story for the vineyard, a logo and type treatment, a set of labels, and gift packaging. I had the idea that wineries could sell their wine to a younger generation. I used simple colors and shapes to give the sense of simplicity. I wanted a elegant look that would grab the attention of People my age.
